## What Is CIMAvax-EGF®?

CIMAvax-EGF® is a therapeutic cancer vaccine developed in Cuba by the Center of Molecular Immunology (CIM) in Havana. Unlike preventative vaccines, CIMAvax-EGF® is designed for patients who already have non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It works by stimulating the immune system to produce antibodies against Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF), a protein that tumors need to grow.

## Who Is Eligible for CIMAvax-EGF®?

CIMAvax-EGF® is indicated for patients with:

- **Stage IIIB–IV non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC)**

- **Completion of first-line chemotherapy** (the vaccine is used after standard treatment, not instead of it)

- **Good performance status** (able to carry out daily activities)

- **No active brain metastases** (or treated and stable)

## The VAXIRA® Alternative
